Tujia girls are weaving by their home made tools. The handicraft is the “sealand karp”, which means Tujia girls decorate bed cloth in their rooms by flowers. Usually, colorful flowers are highlighted in the cloth and scarf etc. One work often tells some stories or reflects something, such as hand waving dance, working or a Tujia’s party. Design can be blue, red, white or black. All these vivid designs are combined with nature and human beings, which demonstrates how harmonious it is.
