Orange Peninsula

In the center of the Xiang river, there is a long islet named Orange Peninsula. The name literally means that the islet riches orange. And the scenic spots of Yuelu mountain and Orange Peninsula were listed into 5A scenic area. The Orange Peninsula became famous not only because of the abundant orange, but the poem about the Peninsula. The poem was written by the Chairman Mao in 1925. Although in that period he did not become the leader of China, while his poem revealed his ambition of being a leader and encouraged the Chinese people to fight for freedom. Until now this poem and Chairman Mao have always been alive in people’s mind. Each Saturday night, the banks of Xiang river will always be crowded because of the fire-works’ festival. The Orange Peninsula is where the festival held. Fireworks will last 20 munites and create different eye-catching pictures and a romantic atmosphere. All these fireworks are manufactured in Liuyang city, subordinated to the Changsha city. It is really a visual feast.
