Yuanjiajie

Bailong lift, 326 meters high, is the only fastest vehicle to the top of Yuanjiajie. It takes 1 minutes and 52 seconds from the foot of mountain to the top. In 2013, a French climber named Michelle Casanova, climbed the lift by naked hands. This lift is the highest and famous masterpiece through out of the world. It has been listed into the Guinness records.

The Pillar of Heaven and Earth. After the famous movie, Avatar, the local government decided to alter the previous name into Hallelujah Mountain. So that is a must when you visit the Yuanjiajie. Especially, that is a miniature of the quartz sandstone peak forest landform. Also this peak was pictured as the symbol and badge of the Zhangjiajie’s National Forest Protection Festival.

The Natural Bridge in the World. It was formed by nature. It covers 50 meters wide, 5 meters long, 4 meters thick and about 300 meters high. The quartz sandstone below were easily eroded by  water or because of gravity or extreme weathering. Tourists can walk on this bridge and two mountains are linked together.
